“Calle 54” scores 3.6/5

The June screening of “Calle 54” by the Barossa Film Club resulted in the audience awarding an average score of 3.6 out of 5. It was an interesting film, withe some excellent performances by a host of some of the best Latin American jazz musicians in the world. Great toe-tapping music – even if you weren’t a fan of jazz you could not help be infected by the beat. The only criticism would be that it was just a series of terrific performances, with very little in the way of a story or even much explanation of why the film-maker wanted to make the documentary.
