Excellent rating for “Adam’s Rib”

A very good rating for last Friday’s screening of “Adam’s Rib” – 4.3 out of 5. Nearly half the audience gave it a full 5 points.
Not only was it a very witty ’50’s comedy with a terrific cast, but there was an underlying theme of the discrimination against women at the time, who were perceived to have different motivations for their actions, and expected to conform to society’s perception of the female role and “correct” female behaviour. Perhaps society has not changed that much in the past 60 years.
