“Hitler’s Astrologer” gets mixed reviews.

“Hanussen”, our film in July, received a mixed reception from viewers. Overall the score was an average of 3.5 which is pretty good, considering that some rated it very lowly. Nobody pretended that it was a “feel-good” movie but it certainly was thought-provoking, and, after all, that is the aim of a film society – to prod the mind and emotions; after all, one can admire the technique without necessarily enjoying the outcome. “Hanussen” was masterfully directed by Ivan Szabo and Kalus Maria Brandauer showed why he was one of the great actors of the 20th century.
Next showing: Australian film “Lonely Hearts” on 16th August.
